Approximately 85% of the global population uses herbal medicines to prevent and treat ailments, and there is an increasing global need for them. Costus igneus (insulin plant) and Trachyspermum ammi (ajwain) are both utilized for therapeutic purposes. This research examines their phytochemical ingredients, Ayurvedic uses, and therapeutic effects, focusing on their anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-cancer properties, as well as their incorporation into current medical formulations.
