Abstract:

Ayurveda, the ancient system of medicine, emphasizes the use of natural herbs to promote health and restore balance to the body, mind, and spirit. Among its vast pharmacopeia, Arjuna (Terminalia Arjuna), Neem (Azadirachta indica), and Turmeric (Curcuma longa) are considered three of the most powerful and widely used remedies for various health concerns. This review delves into the traditional uses of these herbs, their pharmacological insights, and modern scientific validations. Arjuna, renowned for its cardioprotective properties, has been shown to strengthen the heart, improve circulation, and lower blood pressure. Neem, a natural purifier, offers broad-spectrum antimicrobial benefits and has been utilized for detoxification, skin health, and metabolic disorders. Turmeric, particularly its active compound curcumin, is celebrated for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, supporting digestive health, reducing joint pain, and enhancing brain function. The synergy between these herbs offers significant therapeutic potential, particularly in combating chronic diseases such as cardiovascular issues, diabetes, and inflammation. By integrating traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with modern research, this review aims to highlight the holistic health benefits of Arjuna, Neem, and Turmeric as a potent trio for disease prevention and overall wellness.
